Chanticleer was the estate of pharmaceutical tycoons Christine and Adolph Rosengarten, who transformed its already scenic grounds into a beautifully manicured garden of glorious trees and lawns. Now a public garden, Chanticleer has evolved into a masterpiece of horticultural design, brimming with flowering orchards, tropical courtyards, and breathtaking vegetable patches. Visitors may roam this harmonious place at their leisure, or embark on guided tours; it lies about 25 miles west of downtown Philadelphia, next to Willow Park.

A lovely garden, well worth a side trip if you're ever in the area.
